This is the essential issue addressed in Actions, a radical performance that focuses on exclusion and the relationship between art, activism and social change at a time when European democratic values look like they’re being torn to shreds. Actions is not a show. It is a documentary performance that shakes up expectations, challenges and engages the audience, the festival organisers and the company (transformed into an agency for the occasion) in order to respond to the violence and the urgency of our political reality: an experience that hopefully won’t leave us unscathed.
