Biche is an inter-generational and inter-species dance treatment by Marion Zurbach/Cie Unplush and Géraldine Chollet.
Zurbach and Chollet interviewed Biche, a former dancer at the Marseille Opera, whom Zurbach knew as a child. Her journey speaks of attempts at control, of breaks, resilience and reinvention.
With unfailing attention to each other, the dancers incorporate, and bear witness to the life story of their elder sister, while practising the required movements. Biche’s uneven background points to a possible path towards a life off the rails that remains driven, despite silence and wounds, by a disturbingly vibrant love of freedom.
Doesn’t loneliness die once you have found someone to tell that you are lonely?
