Meeting on the issue of our cohabitation with wolves in Switzerland with Association Middleway and WWF Valais
duration : 50'
Suitable for all audiences
La notte è il mio giorno preferito is a branched dance, designed and performed by Annamaria Ajmone.
Taking its name from poet Emily Dickinson’s declaration of love for darkness, a work capable of suspending the world’s tumult for a time, La notte è il mio giorno preferito seeks to approach the spellbinding place that is nature immersed in night time, which makes audible the beating heart of teeming life. Guided as much by philosophical tracking as by howling, Annamaria Ajmone attempts to turn the black box into a nocturnal forest – a fabric made up of designed ramifications, resonances and interdependencies of a rare density. Is it not in the becoming of forests, and their intertwined solidarities, that we must look for the new grammar that will link us to the living?
A residency organised by far° in 2021 enabled Annamaria Ajmone to experiment with the practice of tracking wolves in Val d’Illiez (Valais) and Saint-George (Col du Marchairuz, Jura) and to further her research into their ecosystem.
On August 19, a meeting on the issue of our cohabitation with wolves in Switzerland with Association Middleway and WWF Valais will take place after the performance.
Join Sara Leghissa and Annamaria Ajmone, MCs of Nessuno, for the closing party of the festival, Saturday 20 August at 10 pm in cour des Marchandises.
