duration : 80'
Suitable for all audiences
Sara Manente and her team create an environment where dance, objects, the audience, light, music, scents and costumes interact as living cultures. A garden dedicated to cultivation, abandon, weaving, duplication, germination and decomposition.
The term “mold” refers both to mouldiness and to the cast with which one creates a specific pattern or shape. As a fungus, mould functions as a mycelial network that grows in a seemingly uncontrollable manner. This material connects, colonises, infects, digests, bears fruits and produces spores. As a motif, it is a matrix, a form that shapes malleable materials. MOLD aims to stage the conflict between spontaneous proliferation and moulding, the tension between two opposing logics acting in the same body.
