This workshop is carried out by choreographer, performer, lecturer, craniosacral practitioner and permaculture gardener Shannon Cooney.

In this workshop, participants will connect to the dynamics of the fluid body through movement and mindfulness, both in stillness and in motion.

Dynamic Expansion is a movement and dance practice created by Cooney, melding her decades of dance with Craniosacral practice. The heart of craniosacral practice is to tune into the felt-sense of subtle and rhythmical fluid impulses in the body. Our bodies are constituted of more the 70% water, and the behaviour of hydo-dynamics in Nature are similar to those happening within us. Through a series of guided improvisations we find the natural flow and impulses in our bodies and allow them to move through us and to move us.

Fluid resilience enables us to enter into a subtle and amplified connection with the water in our environment, through the prism of socio-ecological resilience theory in a process of reconnection to the biosphere.

This workshop is offered for the programme Un été sous les Marronniers, organised in partnership with the City of Nyon.
