The Watch & Talk artist-in-residency programme aims to create the conditions for genuine artistic turmoil. On the basis of a mentorship system, young artists are invited to immerse themselves in the shows presented during the festival and to take the time to do some research, enhanced by discussions and with no production constraints. Assisted by Amilcar Packer, the participants open up to debate and constructive criticism, thereby initiating reflection on the shows they have seen. They also get several opportunities to meet with some of the festival’s artists, who introduce them to their work. If they wish to, participants can also attend the Writing Workshop from time to time.
