Based in Brussels, choreographer and dancer Lisa Vereertbrugghen has long explored the political and physical dimensions of techno and hardcore dance cultures. With Again Forever, she expands her research toward a social practice situated at the opposite end of the speed spectrum: the slow dance. In an era dominated by productivity, acceleration and isolation, this slowed-down performance shifts the slow from its usual context into a collective choreography.
Through exchanged glances, gradual movements and music that feels almost muffled, the piece unfolds in rhythm with the sound, drawing the audience into a dance that becomes an act of resistance—a slow, intimate and mesmerising rave.
