Set outdoors in a field, Alouettes invites audiences to gather before a stretch of farmland belonging to the Frei family in Duillier. The field becomes a stage where artists and witnesses share different ways of seeing and understanding this landscape. Through the attentive listening of the soil by a passionate pair of scientists, the perspective of an NGO director engaged in agricultural and ecological policy, the words of local farmer Didier Frei, and the decoding of birdsong by a bio-acoustician, a constellation of lives and forms of knowledge unfolds before us.
Stretching across hundreds of metres, the field gradually reveals itself as both a natural and cultural space, one shaped by expertise, contradictions and emotions, and opening the way toward new and unexpected forms of alliance.
