If you no longer have a future, turn toward the past instead! Tyra Wigg invites us to travel backwards through time in order to better confront a shortage of future.

Lick Life Against the Direction of Its Fur is an invitation to quite literally experience the world against the grain. Haunted by a lost future, three performers revive the dances and fashions of the 1980s within an eccentric visual and sonic landscape. The piece unfolds in two chapters, like the two sides of the same coin. On one side: the desire to retreat into the familiar territory of the past. On the other: the instinct screaming that the only place to truly live is the present.
