far° festival provides the opportunity to local, Swiss and international artists to distance themselves from their usual work frame. The far° festival is being particularly mindful to the diversity of production processes, and wishes to be involved as a facilitator and an accomplice in the elaboration of merely unexpected forms of work. In this perspective, far° festival sends every year invitations to numerous artists, both young and experienced, whether they come from the field of performing arts, theatre, dance, music or visual arts. Creations that are produced within the festival, distinguish themselves by their participative dimension and their territorial anchoring, as these two characteristics interweave. The far° festival particularly enjoys this type of approaches, as these enable the audience to discover geographic, patrimonial or social particularities of the region. Being outside the theatre means both facing ever-changing conditions of creation and new forms of togetherness.
