What is PERMA-CULTURE ?

An attempt to integrate permaculture into performing art ecosystem

In spring 2022, with the PERMA-CULTURE project, a perma-curatorial and artistic trial, far° embarked on a process of exploring the principles of permaculture, in order to transpose them to its working dynamics. Although we come from an agricultural background, we believe that the permaculture philosophy and its principles are fertile and can be transposed to our work as artistic accompaniers and event organisers. We are also convinced that it can be particularly relevant in guiding the transformation of the cultural environment and existing structures such as ours in the light of current ecological issues.

In collaboration with Leila Chakroun (PhD in environmental sciences and permaculture), Clément Demaurex (expert in organisational transformation) and Gregory Stauffer (artist-choreographer, teacher), together with permaculture practitioners, artists and scientists, we have initiated a process to develop new collective practices and are seeking to identify a clear methodology for making the living arts even more alive: a source of life and new relationships.
