Chorégraphie du vivre ensemble

By classes ACC/1, 10VG/4, 10VP/2, 11VP/3
With Mbaye Diop and his colleagues
A project by far° Nyon and Nyon-Marens Secondary School

A collective creation
Over the course of a month, four classes from Nyon-Marens Secondary School unleashed their creativity alongside artist Mbaye Diop, their art teacher François Chessex and their colleagues. Their collaboration resulted in a colourful short film: an animated film that is by turns mischievous, striking and joyful.

Working in small groups, the students first choreographed a movement, chose a location and framing for the shoot, then performed in front of the camera. Photographs were taken from these filmed sequences. These were then used as a basis for the students’ drawings, with the students free to choose their own techniques (colours, contrasts, etc.). Their images were finally digitised and edited by Mbaye Diop to create an original animated film, reflecting life in the communal spaces of Nyon-Marens. A vibrant pulse in constant motion.

Take a look at Stéphanie Pfister’s fanzine, which illustrates this workshop!
