Black Buvette stages a burlesque and twisted chain of donations and counter-donations, where areas and responsibilities are broken up. Diverting local exchange trading systems (LETS), she draws inspiration from yakuza malpractices, which escape the sanctions of the Japanese law on gambling. Using conviviality as a strategy, Adina Secretan & La Section Lopez humorously question work bans, undeclared and illegal work. Black Buvette sets up daily in a different place in Nyon. Bring your donations, give some of your time and share your know-how… or just step into the black market!
