When loosing hope for the future, turn toward the past instead!

Lick Life Against the Direction of Its Fur by Tyra Wigg is an invitation to quite literally experience the world against the grain. Haunted by a lost future, three performers revive dances and fashions of the 1980s within an eccentric visual and sonic landscape. The piece unfolds in two chapters, like the two sides of the same coin. On one side: the desire to retreat into the familiar territory of the past. On the other: the gut feeling screaming that the only place to truly live is in the dirty, messy present.
