Fiona Fiasco grew up speaking Romansh. Her childhood in the heart of the Swiss Alps profoundly shaped her music, alongside influences drawn from folk songs and local radio stations. Her studies in sound arts led her toward a more artistic approach to music-making. Contrary to what her stage name might suggest, Fiona Fiasco skilfully blends nostalgic folk elements with a contemporary sonic aesthetic.
