SONG FOR DESIRE is an artistic project situated at the crossroads of performance and concert.
At once fragmentary and sensual, musical and poetic, Nina Negri’s new creation travels through the polymorphous and unexpected pathways of desire, attempting to rediscover the impulses, pleasures and ruptures that compose the mental cartography of our fantasies. On an otherwise bare stage, populated only by speakers and microphones, performer Silvia Calderoni addresses the audience in several languages, multiplying and scattering the chaotic voices through which desire is experienced.
Through songs and acts of transformation, exchanged glances and moments of complicity, shadow and projection, Silvia confronts the ever-unresolved question of consent. So that the touch placed upon a body might alter the landscape itself; so that intimacy may be shared differently; and so that sensuality may move beyond its expected territories.
